KALAKOTE, Nov 13: Former legislature and Congress Party candidate from Kalakote constituency Ashok Sharma has emphasized the need for complete empowerment of Panchayati Raj institutions and providing adequate honorarium to Sarpanchs, Panchs and Chairmen and Members of Panchayati Adalats in the State.
He also pleaded for increasing honorarium of Lamberdar, village Chowkidar and making a similar provision for VDC members.
He also stressed that all the SPO’s should be regularized by absorbing them in the police.
Referring to Kalakote constituency, he said that seat should be reserved in professional colleges, technical and higher learning for the children of peasant of the constituency as it being very remote and backward.
