Hilal flags off ‘Team Simula’ for Mughal Rally

JAMMU, June 25: Hilal Rather, Managing Director of Simula on Tuesday flagged off Team Simula to participate in the fourth edition of the Mughal Rally which will be held on June 27, 2013.
Message Paradise Avenue partner Daljit Wadhara, Rizwan Dar and G M Bhat were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Gandotra, spokesman Simula, said this is the first time in the history of J & K that a Jammu based organisation ‘Simula’ has sponsored three teams in three different categories with four champion lady drivers and all champion male drivers.
Earlier, Simula was going with one team and now we have three teams in three different categories. Team Simula-A will be having modified gypsies with extreme drivers including Taufeeq Mughal, Manoj Ahlawat, Syed Ifaq, Shakti Bajaj, Sanjay Razdan and Harkaran Singh Gurky Maan; Team Simula-B having Ashwani Rana, Rihen Bhardwaj, Anwar Khan, Shadab Pervez, Harvinder Singh and Gurjot Singh and Team Simula-C having Gauri Gupta, Sukhbans Maan, Anu Rana and Poonam Rana and Sachin Singh, Parkash and Pratima.
Taufeeq Mughal, who has been rallying for the past 5 years, and is a competitor and spokesman for Team Simula thanked Hilal Rather for sponsoring the Team Simula and motivating the youth to come and take the name of Team Simula to new heights.
He said the first Xtreme team from ‘Team Simula’ will be making its racing debut on this rally, adding that Team Simula also have second position holder of Mughal Rally 2011, Harkaran and Gurky who has recently bagged first position in modified category in the desert storm rally,2013.
In the rally, eight vehicles will take part and son of the soil, Sayed Ifaq, 22 years, the youngest driver from India, will represent Jammu. Two lady drivers will also be the part of the team.
Of the eight vehicles, one rally prepared ‘Subaru’ will also be in the running, who would be driven by Harvinder Singh and Gurjot Gurm co Driver. This car has created history in world rallying and is expected to perform well here also.
