JAMMU, Mar 2: Hill View Honda CC trounced Malang CC by nine wickets in 2nd match of the ongoing KPL tournament, being played at KC Sports Club Cricket Ground, here today.
Malang CC won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Malang CC scored 110 runs by losing eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Bablu made highest 44 runs off 50 balls while Sahil scored unbeaten 22 runs and Sanjay made 14 runs. From bowling side, Vinod and Amit Wali took two wickets each, while Sanchit, Vishal and Rakesh Koul clinched one wicket each.
In reply, the Hill View Honda CC chased the target in just 12.3 overs and won the match with big margin of nine wickets. Sidharth Bhat made unbeaten 45 runs while Vickey Raina and Rakesh Koul contributed 21 and 42 runs respectively. Sanjay was the single player who clinched single wicket for Malang CC.
Rakesh Koul was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting of 42 runs not out and one wicket also.
Sarthak Khoda and Sanjeev Sharma were the chief guests of the event.
