KATHUA, Jan 5: The second semi-final of the 13th Police Martyr’s Memorial North Zone T-20 Cricket Championship 2024-25 was played at the Sports Stadium, here today, where Hills View Rajouri triumphed over Champions CC Chandigarh by a significant 76-run margin to secure a place in the final.
Hills View Rajouri won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a total of 176 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Dikshant Kundal top-scored with 61 runs off 44 balls, including 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. Ankit also contributed a quickfire 40 runs from 22 balls, with 4 boundaries and a six.
In reply, Champions CC Chandigarh struggled against the target. They were bowled out for just 100 runs in 19.1 overs. Honey was their top scorer with 25 runs off 20 balls, but the team was unable to keep up with the required run rate.
Ankit was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 40 runs and taking 3 wickets for just 25 runs in his 4-over spell. With this dominant win, Hills View Rajouri becomes the second team to reach the final of the tournament.
