JAMMU, Feb 1: In 4th Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (BGSB) Mathematical Conference organized by department of Mathematics, BGSB University, the students of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri and Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri clinches 1st position.
About 16 Government and private colleges and schools of Rajouri and Poonch districts participated in the conference.
Out of total 24 awards, top seven awards were clinched by students of Himalayan Degree College and Himalayan School Rajouri.
In presentation category at college level, Miss Alia Iqbal student of B Sc-II of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri bagged 1st prize and Zohaib-ul-Hassan student of 11th class of Himalayan School clinched 2nd prize in school category.
In written competition at college level, Khushal Gupta, a student of BSc-III of Himalayan Degree College secured 2nd position while Bushra Fatima, Sania Ayoub, Sandeep Kour and Mohd Ibrar, students of 12th class of Himalayan school got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes, respectively.
Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal Vice-Chancellor BGSBU presented mementoes and merit certificates to the winners.
The programme was co-ordinated by Dr Zaheer Abbass, Head, Department of Mathematics, BGSBU Rajouri.
