JAMMU, Aug 16: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today declared the results of its annual `Sunil Padha Memorial Gyan Pratiyogita’ , which was held earlier on October 23, 2016.
While announcing the final results, ABVP State Secretary Varsha Jandial declared Himani Sharma(Class 12th) of GGHS Rajouri, as overall State Topper of Sunil Padha Memorial Gyan Pratiyogita-2016 in 11th-12th category scoring 85 marks, while as Mohd. Sameer of International School, Rajouri, class 10th as State Topper in 9th-10th category, scoring 71 marks.
In 11th-12th category, Abhishek Sharma (Class 12th) of Indra Shishu Mandir HSS, Garhi, Udhampur and Rishiv Rangyal (Class 11th) of Sheesh Mahal, Poonch stood 2nd and 3rd respectively scoring 75, 75 marks. Sakshar Sharma(Class 11th) of RSJN SS School, Kathua, Ashutosh Sharma(Class 12th) of KV Jyotipuram, Reasi and Vishal Sharma(Class 12th) of MSK Rajbagh, Kathua stood 4th, 5th and 6th respectively scoring 74, 74, 74 marks.
In 9th- 10th category, Aniket Raina(Class10th) of Raja New Light HS, Sunderbani and Abhishek Kharyal(Class 9th) of DPS, Jammu stood 2nd and 3rd respectively scoring 68 and 66 marks. Sumit Sharma(Class 10th) of New Public HS, Sodra, Sunderbani, Akash Sharma(Class 9th) of KV Jyotipuram, Reasi and Simranjeet Singh(Class 10th) of New Public High School, Sodra, Sunderbani stood 4th, 5th and 6th respectively scoring 66, 64 and 64 marks respectively.
Varsha Gupta further informed that first three toppers from each category will be given cash prize of Rs 2000(first prize), 1500(second prize) and Rs. 1000(third prize) respectively and next three toppers will get consolation prizes in each category.
She further informed that all these students will be awarded on 18th of August, 2017 in “Talented Students Felicitation Program” at “Teachers Bhawan” Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
