Hinan slams 2nd consecutive unbeaten ton in JKCA’s Jammu District Tournament

JAMMU, May 12: After scoring unbeaten century earlier on the other day, Hinan Malik slammed yet another unbeaten ton (112*) to guide Simula Cricket Club to emphatic victory over formidable Sehwag Cricket Academy in the ongoing JKCA’s Jammu District Cricket Tournament, being held under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Simula Club scored a good total of 217 runs in 40 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Hinan Malik scored unbeaten 112 runs, while Manjeet Singh Chib and Shashi Kumar contributed 40 and 27 runs to the total respectively. From Sehwag Cricket Academy, Rohit Sharma and Deepak Dogra took 2 wickets each, while Aman Kumar claimed one wicket.
In reply, Sehwag CA bundled out for 111 runs in 32.2 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 106 runs. Shubham Pundir top scored with 20 runs, while Vivrant contributed 13 runs to the total. Young Abhinav Khajuria and Kuldeep Dalotra took 3 wickets each, while Akash Choudhary bagged 2 wickets. Manjeet Singh also claimed one wicket. Hinan Malik was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
At Kathua, Partap XI defeated Junior Warrior Cricket Club by 61 runs. Partap XI scored 215 runs in 34 overs, while Junior Warrior in reply bundled out for 154 runs. Ajay was the star performer who scored 94 runs in 61 balls.
At Reasi, Thanpal Club defeated Katra Club by 52 runs. Batting first, Thanpal Club scored 177 runs in 32 overs, while in reply, Katra Club managed to score 125 runs. Sunny was adjudged as the man of the match for his all-round show.
