Hindi Pakhwada begins at SMVDU

JAMMU, Sept 15: Hindi Cell of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is celebrating Hindi Pakhwada from September 14-28, 2022 and the event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha.
Registrar, Nagendra Singh Jamwal and the Deans of various Faculties, Heads of Departments, students, teachers, staff and their family members were also present on this occasion.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana and a welcome address by Dr. Anil Tiwari, Nodal Officer Hindi Cell.
Registrar, Nagendra Singh underlined the national importance of Hindi.
Students of the university presented a cultural programme in Hindi and presentations of music, singing, dance, dialogue and poetry recitation were included in it.
Speaking on the occasion VC Prof. Sinha mentioned about the debate on acceptance of Hindi as official language in Constituent Assembly of India.
“After a lot of discussions, Hindi was accepted as the official language,” he maintained describing introduction of MA Hindi programme at SMVDU from academic year 2022-23 as a welcome step.
Student secretary of Hindi Cell, Pooja Kharra offered vote of thanks.
She said that during Hindi Pakhwada competitions like drawing, poetry and story writing, debate and speech competition, quiz etc would be organized.
She appealed students and children of the faculty and staff to participate in the events and win wonderful prizes.
