HIRANAGAR, Aug 16: Hiranagar Football Association in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua organized Hiranagar Marathon ‘Run for Nation’, here.
The Marathon was flagged off by SDM Hiranagar, Sohan Lal Sharma and Chairman Hiranagar Football Association, KP Singh and DySP Hiranagar, Ravel Choudhary.
A total of 450 runners participated in this 7 kilometers run, which passed through various areas of Hiranagar.
The Winners of the Open category were
Kanishk Singh (gold), Ashiq Ali (silver) and Rakesh Kumar (bronze), while the winners in Girls category included Kanchan Devi (gold), Anamika Sharma (silver) and Komal Sharma (bronze).
The Winners in Junior category were Keshav Khajuria (gold), Aditya Balotra (silver) and Aditya Jastoria (bronze).
The chief guest distributed cash prizes among the winners on the occasion.
He lauded the efforts of Hiranagar Football Association for organizing this run in the border tehsil to encourage the young generation.
