KATHUA, Feb 3: The hundreds of the people drawn from different areas of Hiranagar tehsil and other areas of Kathua district including ex-Sarpanches and Panches, social and political activist of various organizations assembled in front of SDM office Hiranagar and sat on protest dharna for more than two hours in support of their demand to handed over the much published murder case of 8 years girl Aseefa of village Rasana in Kootah area of Hiranagar tehsil to CBI.
They widely condemned the attitude of tribal community for accusing a particular community. They said the matter was also highlighted in the State Assembly and created uproar and disturbed the working of Assembly many a times. The BJP district President, Prem Nath Dogra and Sarpanches Kant Kumar, Romesh Kumar, Karan Kumar, Prakash Chand, Bhanu Parkesh, Bharat Bhushan, Thuru Ram, Vardeep Singh, Girdhari Lal and Balbir Singh said that a particular community was made target and its one member who is minor was nominated as accused. But the ground reality is far away from the police investigation, they added.
They said that it is the matter of personal rivalry of tribal community. But police under the pressure of Assembly uproar arrested the innocent person. They alleged that how a minor boy can commit such heinous crime. It was pre planned to dominate the particular community. They alleged that some vested interests and political leaders are going to give communal colour to this matter and tribal leaders drawn from Kashmir, Doda, Poonch and other parts of the State are politicize the matter and creating communal disturbance in the society.
They appealed the Government to hand over the case to CBI for fair enquiry and punish the real culprit behind such heinous crime and release the innocent boy put behind the bars by Police. They submitted a memorandum to SDM Hiranagar, Suresh Kumar for entrusting the investigation of minor girl death case to CBI for fair enquiry.
The people also asked the Government to ensure peace and also book such person creating communalism in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
