HISI distributes free books, stationary items to needy students

JAMMU, Apr 7: Healthy India Stronger India (HISI)-an NGO here organized a special camp to distribute books and stationary items among the needy students in Baba Basti Mohalla of Dogra Hall.
NGO chairman, Hira Lal Abrol gave free computer education books, pens and notebooks to the needy students during the camp who expressed their gratitude to the NGO.
Speaking on the occasion, Abrol informed that HISI also runs a ‘Free Training Centre’ for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families.
“At Training Centre we offer 3 months free courses in Basic Computers, Cutting & Tailoring, Beautician Course, Vocal Music and Dance and there is a free library facility for the students,” he said.
The NGO chairman also said that about 6000 students have so far been trained by the Centre and they are earning their livelihood with honour.
“HISI also equips its students with moral values and life skills and the students are motivated to live a healthy life and to stay away from tobacco and drugs,” he maintained adding that they also train the girls and women in self defence.
