JAMMU, Mar 16: History Department thrashed EVS Department by 9 wickets in an easy contest of the ongoing Inter-Departmental Cricket Men Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and bating first, EVS Department scored 91 runs in 15 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Naman top scored with 46 runs, while Ranjan Sharma contributed 16 runs to the total. For History Department, Masood took 3 wickets, while Prince bagged 2. Vikas and Tahir also claimed one wicket each.
In reply, History Department scored the required total easily in 11.5 overs by losing one wicket to win the match by 9 wickets. Tahir scored superb 53 runs, while Rajeev contributed 22 runs to the total.
Ranjan Sharma took the lone wicket to fall.
The match was officiated Rahul Sharma, Mukesh Sharma, Raman Kumar and Rajkumar Bakshi.
