KATRA, May 15: Hind Kesari/Bharat Kesari Wrestler Hitesh Kala of Bahadurgarh in Haryana defeated Benia Min of Basantgarh, Udhampur in the final bout and lifted 47th International Roun-Domail Kesari Title 2018. Dangal was organized by Thiall Roun-Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Om Parkash Verma and Rajinder Singh Ranyal.
Renowned Wrestlers from across the country participated in this historical Dangal, which was witnessed by large gathering of around 25,000 people from Jammu Province.
The first malli main bout Wrestler Hitesh Kala was awarded with cash prize of Rs 71,000 along with traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Ravinder Kumar, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma and General Secretary District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Om Parkash Verma while runner-up Wrestler Benia Min got Rs 40,000 from retired SP Prithvi Raj Sharma, District Udhampur President Sunil Badyal and Rajinder Singh Ranyal.
35 bouts were played in a day-long Dangal.
Wrestler Dinesh of Delhi was declared as the best Wrestler and was given 5 Kilograms desi ghee by the dignitaries.
SSP Udhampur Rayees Bhatt, retired SP Prithvi Raj Sharma, ASP Faisal Qureshi, Ex. MLA Balwant Singh Mankoita and ARTO Udhampur Kuldeep Singh were the guests of honour.
