HM militant arrested

Srinagar, Mar 20: Army and Police today arrested a local militant at Ashtiung in North Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Army’s 27 RR captured the most wanted recycled local militant who was involved in life threatening attack on one of the Government officials of Ashtiung village in Bandipora.
One AK-47 used for the attack has been recovered from the militant along with one magzine and 20 rounds of bullets.
The militant was affiliated with HM since 1998 and in due course of time got recycled in December last year. He was involved in motivating local youth for joining militant groups and was also planning attacks on police and security forces.
This apprehension has given a serious blow to the HM cadre in the area and resulted in devolving morale due to diminishing support base, financial support and sustained pressure by security forces.
