HM militant arrested in north Kashmir

SRINAGAR: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was arrested by security forces in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.

A CRPF spokesperson said that following specific information about movement of militants in Bandipora, a joint checkpoint was established by police, Army and CRPF at Gurezmod crossing in Ajar.

He said security forces intercepted a person at the checkpoint and during checking recovered arms and ammunition, including a pistol and a magazine, from him. “The arrested person, who was later identified as Zameer Ahmed Khatana Gujjar, belongs to militant outfit HM,” he said.  (AGENCIES)
