HM reviews J&K situation

NEW DELHI, Aug 8:
Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the situation prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of recent developments, which includes the capture of a Pakistani terrorist in Udhampur, and directed tightening of security there.
The Home Minister took stock of the security situation in the State, particularly along the border, where there have been regular attempts at infiltration from the other side.
The matter of the recent attack on a BSF convoy and subsequent capture of a Pakistani terrorist was discussed threadbare, official sources said.
Singh directed that security in the State, especially along the border, be strengthened to foil attempts at infiltration from across the border.
Top officials, including NSA Ajit Doval and Union Home Secretary LC Goyal, briefed the Home Minister on the latest intelligence inputs and the steps taken over those. (PTI)
