DODA, May 9: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was arrested from Kilothran area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandoh police station.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan said that on specific inputs, police team from Gandoh police station laid a naka at Kilothran and arrested a HM militant, who has been identified as Majid Hussain Mughal (30), son of Ghulam Hussain Mughal of Kilothran Gandoh.
“Mughal had joined HM outfit and since then he was absconding and had crossed LoC for getting arms training”, SSP added.
Mr Chouhan further stated that the accused was produced before Court, which has sent him to Judicial Custody in a case under FIR No 139/2009 under Section 3 EAO, 3/12 PPA, 2/3 EMA registered at police station Gandoh.
Further investigation is going on.
