52nd KVS National Sports Meet

JAMMU, Nov 3: In the 52nd KVS National Sports Meet-2023, different sporting events are underway in Jammu. The Hockey matches in U-14 category; Chennai Region triumphed over Delhi with a 1-0 win, Jaipur Region dominated Mumbai with a remarkable 6-0 victory, Chennai Region secured a commanding 5-0 win against Mumbai, Jaipur outplays Lucknow with a 3-0 score line, Delhi won over Tinsukiya by a 1-0 and Delhi triumphed over Patna with a 2-0 win here today.
In Hockey U17 category matches Ranchi emerged victorious with a dominant 5-0 win against Lucknow, Delhi secured a close 1-0 win against Mumbai, Bangalore and Chandigarh match ended with a draw. Chennai secured a resounding 5-0 victory against Lucknow, Bhopal emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win over Patna, Ranchi outplayed Delhi with a 6-0 score line and Jaipur beat Chandigarh with a 5-0.
In Kabaddi U-14 category; Chandigarh defeated Jammu with a 40-29 win, Ranchi secured a close 25-23 win against Gurugram, Agra triumphed over Hyderabad with a score of 53-43. Raipur dominated with a strong 63-26 win over Bangalore. Jaipur outplayed Ahmedabad with a commanding 51-6 victory. Lucknow secured a 40-33 win against Jabalpur, Chennai displayed dominance with a 54-13 win against the Bhuvneshwar region and Varanasi emerged victorious with a 45-35 win over Delhi. Bengaluru displayed dominance over Bhopal region with a resounding victory of 51-14, Delhi out wins Ernakulum region with 38-17, Kolkata displayed dominance over Patna with 36-17, Hyderabad secured a 37-34 win against Hyderabad region, Raipur defeated Lucknow by 55-38, Chennai out wins Varanasi with a strong score of 32-13, Ranchi dominated with a strong 49-10 win over Jammu. Jaipur displayed dominance over Agra region with a resounding victory of 48-11, Bangalore won over Jabalpur by 45-25 and Bhubaneswar won over Ernakulum by 41-36.
In Kabaddi U-17 category Bhopal region defeated Jaipur with 42-35 win, Chennai beat Raipur, Delhi dominated with a strong 45-13 win over Chandigarh region, Varanasi secured a 34-23 win against Jabalpur region, Jammu secured a close win with 33-31 against Ernakulum region, Gurugram dominated with a 33-21 win over Hyderabad region, Chennai triumphs over Agra region with a score of 42-15, Bhuvneshwar emerged victorious with a 40-26 win over Lucknow, Bhopal displayed dominance over Ahmedabad region with a resounding victory of 42-17, Mumbai region defeated Patna with 38-13 win, Jabalpur beat Ranchi by 32-20 and Delhi outplay Guwahati by 27-18.
In Chess; the students from 25 regions are all geared up to beat their opponents in nail biting matches with wit and tenacity. There are altogether 8 rounds in the tournament. 3 rounds are over for all the three categories.
In Boxing Under-14 knockout matches held at Jammu and Kashmir Police Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu, players from Mumbai, Patna, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Varanasi, Delhi, Bangalore won the preliminary matches. Similarly, in the Under-17 knockout matches, Patna, Gurugram, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu and Bhopal won their respective preliminary matches.
Deputy Commissioner KVS RO Jammu, Nagendra Goyal and Assistant Commissioner KVS RO Jammu Islam Khan visited the venues to boost the morale of the players.
