POONCH, Mar 16: To provide exposure to girls District Social Welfare Department Poonch has organised a girl’s hockey match at Synthetic Hockey Astroturf at Poonch here today.
The match was played between Sham Lal Hockey Club and Khelo India Hockey Centre. District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Abdul Raheem was the Chief Guest who interacted with the teams and witnessed the game. Earlier a Cricket match was also played between Stadium XI and Kanuyian Club.
He advised the players to work hard to achieve the desired results and be a messenger of this campaign. He assured support from the department for the promotion of sports culture in the district. The Chief Guest applauded the coaches for providing young talent a platform to perform.
Among other prominent present were Nirdosh Kumar Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, Narinder Singh (ZPEO Poonch), Narjeet Singh Retd (ZPEO),Kewal Krishan, Ravinder Singh, Laxmikant, Rajinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Harmik Singh, Imran Shah, Gurwinder Singh, and employees of DSW Department, Poonch.
Match was officiated by Navjot Singh KI Hockey Coach, Harmik Singh, Vishu Sharma and Jagmeet Singh.
The exhibition match was conducted under the supervision of Pawan Kumar (PEL), Hockey Coach and Navjot Singh KI Coach.
