POONCH, Dec 30: Hockey sticks were distributed among the players after the exhibition match, which was played between Sham Lal Hockey Club and Power House Hockey Club at Sports Stadium, here today.
Shweta Sharma general secretary District Mahila Morcha BJP was the chief guest who interacted with players and distributed the Hockey sticks and stick covers among the players which were sponsored by the management of the Sham Lal Hockey Club Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, she applauded the role of late Sham Lal Sharma for the promotion of the game across the J&K especially among women hockey in the district. She also appreciated the role of the Club for engaging youth in sports and channelizing their energy in the right direction and keeping them away from drug menace.
Mohinder Bali, general secretary Kreeda Bharti Poonch was the guest of honour, while Nirdosh Kumar, In-charge Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, Narjeet Singh and Retd ZPEO, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ravinder Singh, Harmik Singh, Dilip Luthra, Pankaj Sharma and Amardev Singh were present during the event.
The match was conducted under overall supervision of Mukesh Kumar, Hockey coach and Navjot Singh, Hockey coach Khelo India Centre Poonch.
