POONCH, Sept 18: Divisional Level Inter District Hockey Tournament for all age groups boys and girls, being organized by District Youth Services and Sports Poonch, was declared open by SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral today at BHSS School and Sports Stadium here.
Principal BHSS Sudharshan Khajuria, Principal GHSS Hamida Begum, Narjeet Singh Retd ZPEO, all ZPEOs and all other employees of the DYSSO Poonch were present on the occasion.
In U-19 opening match (boys), District Poonch defeated District Kathua by 4-0 goals. Two goals were scored by Kavleen Singh, while Shoib and Inderpreet scored one goal each. In second match, District Jammu beat district Udhampur by 5-0 goals.
In U-14 boys, District Jammu beat District Rajouri by 2-0 goals, whereas in U-17 boys, District Poonch beat District Rajouri by 2-0 goals and District Jammu beat District Kathua by 6-0 goals.
In U-17 girls, District Poonch beat District Jammu by 3-2 via tie breaker, whereas in U-19 girls, District Poonch beat District Jammu by 4-1 via tie breaker.
The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh Toofan, Narinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Matinderpal Singh, Ruchika Sharma, Ravneet Singh, Gurdev Singh, Vikas Sharma, Harmik Singh and Sunil Raina.
