JAMMU: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today advocated for initiating a dialogue process with Panun Kashmir for the “honourable and dignified” return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.
“It is important that a dialogue process with Panun Kashmir be started at the earliest as KPs are equal stakeholders,” he said while speaking on the Governor’s Address in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council.
“There needs to be a definite policy on the return of the KPs to the Valley and there can’t be adhoc policies, so it is in this context a definite policy on the return of the displaced community be formulated,” the BJP MLC said.
Panun Kashmir, an organisation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, advocates carving out of a separate “homeland” with union territory status in the Valley for about seven lakh Kashmiri pandits. (AGENCIES)
