JAMMU, Jan 19: Guru Gyagi Foundation urged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to announce gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Guru Gyagi, here today.
The appeal was made during a meeting, organised under the leadership of Councillor Rashpal Bhardwaj, wherein a large number of devotees participated at Shahzadpur.
The participants urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to honour Guru Gyagi by adding his name alongwith Guru Ravidas in the official gazetted holiday notification through an addendum, as the birth day of both the saints come on the same day.
The Government has already declared a holiday to this effect. If done so, it would be a great gesture for the devotees of the Guru, they said.
