Sir,
I would like to request J&K State Govt to declare holiday for Jammu Province on account of ancient historic three days Sudhmahadev Mela. It is pertinent to mention that Sudhmahadev-Mantalai is popularly known as Land of Lord Shiva and is linked with the glories of this Universal God. There are several places to visit and lot of religious rituals to perform during this oldest Mela of Jammu Region. Not to speak of Jammu province but devotees of Lord Shiva also come from HP and Punjab States to take holy dip in Devika and seek blessing of Shiv Ji Maharaj.
The three days mela is a grand show of cultural heritage of entire Jammu province and great show of religious deliberations in the land of great reverence which is blessed with holy Devika rivulet. So keeping in view the religious importance of this three days mela and participation of entire Jammu Province, the sentiments of the people may be considered by the government to declare holiday on three days Sudhmahadev Mela.
