JAMMU, Mar 4: M.L.A, R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat inaugurated a free medical camp in collaboration by the New Young Blood Organization and J&K Department of Indian system of medicines at Panchayat Ghar Maralia, R.S. Pura.
The camp was organized on the initiative of M.L.A R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat as per the commitment to the people, and such Health camps will be regularly organized in every villages in a phase wise manner, to ensure better healthcare to the rural population.
While briefing the media Dr. Gagan Bhagat said “The Coalition Government is placing the highest importance on popularizing holistic treatment by establishing preventive and promotive care facilities for traditional medicine throughout the State. The Union Cabinet’s approval of the National “AYUSH Mission” will set in motion a series of steps to plug the gaps that exist in the public health system, particularly in rural areas of Jammu & Kashmir, and very soon on the recommendation of Health Minister Ch. Lal Singh an expert group will be constituted comprising experts in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) to recommend the best methods of treatment for the public of this State.
“We will give AYUSH pride place in the country’s public health system, no single stream of medicine is considered supreme in today’s world. Vast strides have been made in our traditional lines of treatment and we wish to bring their benefits to the people” said Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Director General of ISM. Prominent among those who were present included Naib Sarpanch S. Dara Singh, Panch Manmohan , Panch Arti Kohli, Manohar Lal Saraf, Pawan Sharma, S. Amir Singh, Natharam and Ashok Verma chairman New Young Blood Organization.
