JAMMU, Oct 26: Honey Buzzy Bee Royals trounced WOC Auto Daredevils by 7 wickets in a thrilling contest and lifted J&K Masters Cricket Championship at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota here today.
Haseeb Ur Rehman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Railway Jammu was the chief guest, Ashish Singh Managing Director of Horizon Group & Vivek Sharma former Ranji Player were the guests of honour while Sunil Bhagat mentor of Sunbro Warriors was the special guest on this occasion.
Earlier, WOC Auto Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 127 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs game. In reply Honey Buzzy Bee Royals Chased the target in 17.3 overs Deepak scored 55 runs, Rajesh Gill 39 runs and Vikas 36 runs while in bowling Daleep and Shamsher Singh took 2 wickets each while Ravi Choudhary took 1 wicket.
Haseeb Ur Rehman said that the great feedback came from all the participating teams and players regarding the championship which is conducted by the J&K Veterans Cricket Association supported by J&K Police. He further said that on the demand of participating teams, more cricket leagues for the J&K Veterans cricketers in near future.
Coordinators of the championship were Rajesh Gill and Avinash Uttam. The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Raj Kumar and Girdarilal. Proceeding of the valedictory function was conducted by Vikrant Sharma.
