Horizon Club, Road Safety XI register wins in Christmas Cup

JAMMU, Dec 18: Horizon Sports Club and Road Safety Cricket XI registered wins and entered in next level of the ongoing T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
The tournament is being jointly organized by members of Indian Cricket Association and KC Sports Club, supported by Horizon Sports Club and The Game Changer Sports Club with an objective to celebrate Christmas together through T20 Cricket.
In first match, Horizon Sports Club defeated The Game Changer Cricket Club by seven wickets. Batting first, Game Changer Cricket Club scored 105 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 16 overs with Hisham 40, Harsh 20 and Yorawer Singh 14 runs. From the bowling side, Paras Sharma took five wickets and Sampark bagged three wickets.
In reply Horizon Club chased the target in just13.3 overs by losing three wickets, thus won the match by seven wickets. Bandeep Singh made 50 runs while Kaniya and Jatin scored 19 and 16 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Aasad and Ankush took one wicket each. Bandeep Singh was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Road Safety XI defeated Sukhdev Cricket Academy by three wickets. Batting first Sukhdev Cricket Academy scored 102 runs for the loss of all wickets in 16 overs with Ayush 20 and Ashank contributing 12 runs. From the bowling side, Rompy took five wickets while Majid and Dinesh took one wicket each. In reply, Road Safety Cricket XI chased the target in 15.1 overs by losing seven wickets thus won the match by three wickets. Rompy Sharma was the main batsman who scored unbeaten 52 runs and was declared as man of the match for his excellent performance.
