AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship
*Jammu Angels outplays Jammu Queens by 45 runs

JAMMU, Jan 3: Horizon Cricket Club and Jammu Angels (Girls) registered empathetic wins against their opponents in the ongoing “AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship”, being played at Parade ground, here today.
In today’s matches, Sandhya Gupta, Chairperson Women Club Meri Pehchan was the chief guest, who while speaking advised the women cricketers to work hard in all areas, achieve success at International level and bring laurels for UT of J&K so that whole country feel proud of Jammu Dogra women.
In the second semifinal match, Horizon Cricket Club defeated Lakshmi Cricket Club by 113 runs. Horizon Club will take on Christian Sports Club in the title clash on January 5.
Batting first, Horizon Club scored 187 runs for 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Paras Sharma played a splendid inning of 54 runs, while Piyush scored 48 runs and Jatin made 33 runs.
From bowling side, Rocky, Nipun and Sameer took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Lakshmi Club could not chase the target and managed to score 74 runs by losing all wickets in 10.5 overs thus lost the match by 113 runs. Rohan Koul with 29 runs was the only batsman who scored in double figure.
From bowling side, Imran took 3 wickets, Sukha and Sawan took 2 wickets each.
Paras Sharma was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match of girls, Jammu Angels defeated Jammu Queens by 45 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Angels scored 140 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Jaspreet Kour made 42 runs, while Riffat chipped in 37 runs and Sanjana scored 35 runs.
From bowling side, Pushp took 1 wicket.
In reply, Jammu Queens could not chase the target and scored 95 runs in 17.2 overs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 45 runs. Lalita made 21 runs, while Sonika scored 17 runs, Shivangi made 14 runs and Alia scored 13 runs.
From bowling side, Ananaya took 2 wickets while Deepashi, Riffat and Kamaljeet took 1 wicket each.
Riffat was declared as Man of the Match.
The final matches will be held on January 5 and prize distribution function will be conducted at 3 pm.
