UDHAMPUR, July 30: A young housewife was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the house of her in-law in village Pangarha in Udhampur while parents of the deceased alleged that she was murdered.
Usha Devi (21), wife of Rajey Ram of Pangarha, was reported to be lying dead in her room and on being informed by the family members from in-laws, Police reached the spot and took the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
Even as parents of the deceased alleged their daughter was murdered and there were some injury marks on her body, Police registered the case under Section 174 of RPC for further investigation.
Rattan Lal of Dabari Thara Kalsot in Panchari, father of the deceased, informed that Usha Devi was married to Rajey Ram of Pangarha three years back. He alleged that his daughter was murdered by her in-laws.
Meanwhile, one Vaneet Kumar, son of Kunj Lal of Tirshi, Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance. He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
