JAMMU, Apr 11: Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana celebrated its 43rd Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and zeal, near here today.
Foundation day is the day of remembrance, a day of honouring, a day to celebrate what has been achieved over the years and a day to look forward to what is yet to come.
The programme started with paying tribute to the founder of the School, Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak Ji by School Principal, Gaurav Charak, Vice-Principal Anku Charak, senior incharge, Akash Deep Raina along with incharges of different wings including Keshav Raj Sharma (Hr. Sec. Wing), Namrta Sharma (High/Middle Wing), Vandana Sharma (Primary Wing), Aparna Billowria (Pre-Primary Wing) and Meenu Khajuria (Activity Incharge).
Reetu Attri of class 10th and Pallavi of class 8th presented their speech on the foundation day and spoke about the achievements of the School. After that the little tiny tots of primary wing Master Harush of class 1st and Arpita of class 2nd presented poems on the School. The girls of class 8th presented a group song on School under the guidance of their mentors Rajan Kumar and Kumar Abliash.
Later, Keshav Raj Sharma (Incharge Hr. Sec. Wing) enlightened the staff and the students of HPS more on the foundation day of the School and its history.
Principal of the School, Gaurav Charak congratulated all the staff and the students and spoke at length about the history of the School. He remembered the contribution of the chairman, Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak for the foundation of the School on 9th April, 1981.
The Principal also highlighted the thoughts of Chairman, Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak and the present chairperson, Meera Charak to provide education to all the students of their village, Bassi Kalan who were deprived of education with an aim of non- commercial as an objective.
He further said that each member of the School must work with integrity, dedication, devotion and loyalty for the betterment of the School. Anku Charak, Vice-Principal also congratulated the staff and the students on 43rd foundation day.
