HPS contributes Rs 85,000 to HelpAge India

JAMMU, Sept 1: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana showed exemplary social responsibility by raising a fund amounting to Rs 85,000 for HelpAge India, an International level Organization working for the welfare of senior citizens.
The cheque was handed over to the HelpAge India by Principal of HPS, Gaurav Charak in the presence of Vice Principal, Anku Charak, Akashdeep Raina (In-charge) and Sandeep Zutshi (Academic In-charge). On this occasion Principal of the Institution said that we must collectively help the needy and elderly people as they cannot wait for tomorrow.
Appreciating such effort of the school students, Senior Executive of HelpAge India, Neeru Sharma Khajuria said that this is the big contribution by the students and their staff for elderly persons who are helpless. She added that this school is contributing from the last five years for this noble cause.
It is pertinent to mention here that HelpAge India is working for the cause and care of under privileged old age persons in over 70 countries including all the states of India.
