SAMBA, Feb 8: A program was held in honour of the late Captain Gandharab Singh Charak, the chairman of the Humanity Public School in Bassi Kalan on the occasion of his birth anniversary. More than 1600 students along with their parents recited Mantras and Bhajans with traditional manner in this programme.
Floral tributes was offered to Chairman by the Chairperson Meera Charak, Gaurav Charak, Principal, Anku Charak Vice Principal, Akashdeep Raina (Senior Incharge), Keshav Raj Sharma (Incharge Higher Secondary Wing), Namrta Sharma (Incharge Senior Wing), Vandana Sharma (Incharge Primary Wing), Varinder Kumar (IT Incharge), Meenu Khajuria (Activity Incharge), Mahan Singh (Sports Incharge) & Shivani Sharma (Coordinator).
A colourful presentation of songs and bhajans were presented by the girls of class 7th & 8th under the guidance of music teachers, Rajan Kumar & Kumar Abhilash which was enjoyed by the whole audience.
Later Gaurav Charak Principal of the school remembering the late Chairman enlightened the students about the life of Late Chairman, who was always preoccupied on holistic growth & upliftment of the children. Gaurav Charak along with Vice Principal, Anku Charak apprised the students about the importance of performing such Yagya in maintaining a sense of balance & discipline in today’s busy life style & told them that these types of Yagya were performed in ancient times for the well being of the human beings.
