JAMMU, Sept 18: The boys of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari-Brahmana, achieved significant success at the Inter Zonal District Level Athletic Championship 2024-25, held at Samba Stadium. Competing in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories, the students brought home an impressive tally of medals, securing 6 gold and 4 silver medals across various events.
In the Under-14 category, Balbir Kumar of Class 9 won gold in the 200 meters, Paras Verma of Class 8 won gold in the high jump and silver in the long jump, and Kushal Mehra of Class 6 secured silver in the 600 meters.
The Under-17 category saw Rajveer Singh of Class 9 win gold in javelin, Bhavab Singh of Class 11 claim gold in both discus throw and shot put, and Ankit Kumar of Class 10 win gold in triple jump and silver in long jump. In the Under-19 category, Mubarak Khan of Class 11 won a silver medal in the 200 meters.
The school organized a special assembly to honor the winners. Principal Gaurav Charak and Vice-Principal Anku Charak praised the students for their outstanding performances, attributing their success to the guidance of head coach Mahan Singh and the coaching team, which included Shamsher Singh, Ajay Sharma, Bhanu Singh, Meenali Jamwal, and Anju.
