HPSDA takes up issues with Addl Commissioner State Taxes

JAMMU, Dec 18: The Executive Members of Hardware, Paints and Sanitary Dealers Association (HPSDA) met Additional Commissioner State Taxes (Administration and Enforcement) Rifat Kohli here.
The Executive Members of HPSDA who met Kohli were President Neeraj Gupta, Senior Vice President Naresh Chopra, Vice President Varun Sharma, General Secretary Subash Nanda, Treasurer Vishal Bhat and Publicity Incharge Sanjay Pandita.
The members apprised her about the problems being faced by trade fraternity.
Many issues were discussed in the meeting including the E-Way Bill of Traders blocked due to the non filling of returns and due to the internet problem, late fees imposed on traders, notification time gap, vehicles of distributors and transporters stopped due to unregistered traders, entry of the material through Private Vehicles, buses and railways into the Union Territory which goes unchecked resulting the loss to the UT exchequer.
Kohli suggested the members to file returns on under prescribed time by the department whatever case maybe. “If anybody facing any problem can visit us in the office premises to get their problem redressed” she added.
Regarding late fees imposed on traders, she assured that it will be credited in their respective accounts simultaneously if not credited so. Regarding notification time gap, Kohli suggested to contact the Helpline Number 7051889993.
Regarding the vehicles and transporters stopped due to unregistered traders, Kohli suggested to be extra careful towards these unregistered dealers and also suggested these traders to get their firm register as soon as possible to avoid the penalties and inconvenience in future.
Additional Commissioner assured to extend all possible help to the traders.
