JAMMU, Dec 21: A guest lecture was organised by Govt Higher Secondary School, Canal Road, Jammu ON THE TOPIC ‘Plants and Environment’, under the guidance of Principal Sushma Koul, here today.
The invited guest of honour was OP Vidyarthi, Director Environment J&K and internationally acclaimed person for his contribution in the field of environmental protection.
The lecture started with a welcome address by the Principal, while Lecturer Kulbhushan gave detailed account of the contribution and achievements of the guest.
Mr Vidyarthi spoke in length on the topic and the students listened him carefully.
The guest has a distinction of publishing a dictionary of the botanical names of plants in Dogri Language.
The students were inspired by the contributions of the guest in the field of plants and environment.
The programme was conducted by Promila, Lecturer Botany, while the vote of thanks was presented by Harmeet Kour, Vice Principal.
