JAMMU, Nov 20: Government Higher Secondary School Nariwala won kabaddi and tug-of-war titles by defeating HSS Sohal in both the events of the Competitions organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports as part of Jhiri Mela Celebrations 2013.
In kabaddi final, HSS Nariwala defeated HSS Sohal by 22 points (45-23) in an easy contest, while in tug-of-war title clash, HSS Nariwala got better of HSS Sohal in a well contested match.
Ashok Gupta, Sarpanch of Jhiri was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed trophies and mementoes among the winners and runners-up teams.
The Competitions were held under the supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were ZPEO Chanchal Kour, Mulkh Raj, former ZPEO and Rattan Lal, physical education teacher.
