SAMBA, Aug 29: Defeating HSS Samba in the semifinal clash with a convincing margin, the Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Sumb entered the finals of volleyball Under-19 boys in the Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of volleyball, kho-kho and kabaddi, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
Now, in the finals, HSS Sumb will lock horns with the winner of the second semifinal match between HSS Shishu Model Academy and HSS Kushan Public School Samba.
At Ramgarh zone, HSS Ramnagar defeated HSS Gho Brahmana in volleyball final, while in kabaddi final at Ghagwal zone, HSS Ghagwal beat HSS Rajpura in the volleyball final, while in kabaddi final HSS Rajpura drubbed HSS Ghagwal.
Menawhile, at Vijaypur zone, HSS Jyoti Public School scripted a narrow win over HSS Vijaypur by one point in kho-kho.
The Tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Jarpal Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu and is being conducted by zonal physical education officers Indra Khashu, Mohan Singh and Sukhdev Singh.
