JAMMU, Aug 20: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri today said that the departments under Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) responsible for construction of colonies as well as flatted accommodations must make public the future developmental plans, especially in the wake of Metro line coming up in Jammu and other road widening projects that are in the pipeline.
He said this is because people are required to get their building permission cases approved for residential as well as commercial projects accordingly.
Raman Suri said, the Building Operations and Controlling Authority (BOCA) responsible for approving plans must also let people know if their properties are falling in the line of metro stations or lines or are required to be taken over by the Government. He said, today the cases that are being approved won’t sustain their validity if a new proposal comes in the way. As such the department must make public all relevant documents, site plans, proposed metro stations and even metro lines so that people can plan the future prospects of their properties accordingly.
