SAMBA, Aug 17: Samba Police today arrested Ajay Kumar husband of Shekha Devi and registered a case under Section 498/306 against him.
The SSP Samba Joginder Singh said that husband of Shikha Devi was arrested and a case registered against him. He said the police is investigating the matter to ascertain the reasons that led to the death of Shikha Devi and her one year old son Harish who died yesterday.
As per reports Shikha Devi first gave a doze of some poisonous substance to her son and later took it herself. Both mother and son were found dead later. The police swung into action as the relatives of Shikha Devi termed it a share case of harassment for dowry.
