Hyderabad gains 1st innings lead, earns 3 points

JAMMU, Jan 31: After scoring massive 467 runs in the first innings, Hyderabad bundled out Jammu and Kashmir for 178 runs to gain a vital first innings lead and earn three points in the U-23 Men’s CK Nayudu Trophy at Jammu University Ground, here today.
Riding on magnificent batting display by centurion and skipper Himateja K, Hyderabad scored 467 runs. Himateja scored 139 runs off 233 deliveries, studded with 20 fours while Nitin Sai Yadav and Gourav Reddy contributed 86 and 75 runs to the total respectively.
For J&K, Vanshaj Sharma took 4 wickets, while Mujtaba Yousuf bagged 3 wickets. Vishal Kumar claimed 2 wickets and Kawal Preet Singh took one.
In reply, J&K scored 178 runs to concede a huge first innings lead to Hyderabad. Yawer Hassan top scored with 40 runs off 70 balls studded with 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Arya Thakur and Kawal Preet Singh contributed 25 and 21 runs to the total respectively.
Nitin Sai Yadav took 4 wickets for Hyderabad while Ilyaan bagged 3 and Aniket Reddy claimed 2 wickets.
