JAMMU, Feb 26: The Indian Air Force today airlifted 388 people of UT of Ladakh from Jammu to Leh in IL-76 Aircraft.
Under the Operation Sadbhavna, Indian Air Force has been extending assistance to the citizens of Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh. Many people, specially students from UT of Ladakh had been stranded at Jammu due to blockade of Srinagar-Leh highway. They were requesting the UT Administration Ladakh and MP Leh to take up matter with the Union Government at Delhi for airlifting them.
“On the request of UT Administration, two IL- 76 Aircrafts landed at Air Force Station, Jammu today and airlifted 388 people, mostly hailing from UT of Ladakh, from Jammu to Leh,” Defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said.
