Ian slams cracking ton, Manhas unbeaten on 95 as J&K scores 325/5

JAMMU, Nov 25: Ian Dev Singh scored magnificent century (115), while skipper Mithun Manhas was unbeaten on 95 runs to help Jammu & Kashmir reach 325 for five on the third and penultimate day of their Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match against Goa at GGM Science College ground, here today.
J&K still needs 227 more runs with five wickets in hand to surpass the visitors’ massive first innings total of 552/5 declared.
Resuming from an overnight score of 43/2, the overnight batsmen Ian Dev Singh and Pranav Gupta put on 100 runs together for the third wicket.
While Ian, after resuming on 13, scored a 184-ball 115 that included 20 hits to the fence, debutant Pranav scored a quick-fire 56 off 60 balls with the help of 11 delectable boundaries. Both the batsmen were in awesome touch, hitting the ball with fluid grace and utter brilliance. Pranav held his nerves in the first match of his First Class career and send the bowlers on a leather hunt, hitting series of boundaries.
Even after Pranav got out, Ian continued in the company of Mithun Manhas and the pair shared a crucial 156-run stand for the fourth wicket to take the team past 250-run mark.
At stumps, Manhas was unbeaten on 95, studded with 12 boundaries and one six and giving him company was Aamir Aziz on unbeaten 12.
