JAMMU, Sept 27: The 31st Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Quiz for Undergraduates was organised at ASCOMS Auditorium, here.
This Annual affair was organised by the Department of Paediatrics under the supervision of Dr Ravinder Kumar Gupta (Prof & Head Paediatrics Department). Five teams of 2 students each were selected to participate in Quiz after a screening test.
Akshay Khajuria and Taniya Sharma, final year MBBS students emerged as the winners in a tight contest.
The proceedings were witnessed by faculty members, residents and students. The students among the enthusiastic audience did participate in this quiz and won lot of prizes.
Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal was chief guest on the occasion.
He congratulated the participants and the winners and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Paediatrics in organising such informative scientific activities.
He informed that Dr Ravinder K. Gupta has been nominated as Joint National Coordinator for IAP Quiz for Undergraduates as well as Zonal Coordinator for Postgraduate Quiz by Centre IAP.
He congratulated Dr Gupta for this achievement.
Later, Dr Pavan Malhotra distributed prizes among the participants and winners.
The winning team comprising of Tania and Akshay will compete in Divisional round likely to be held in SMGS in mid of October 2018.
Dr Harkirat Kour and Dr Ifra Rasool were the Quiz Masters while Dr Hanna Bashir managed the stage.
