ICAI holds super sixes Cricket tourney

JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir Branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted a super sixes cricket tournament for Chartered Accountants at Isle Ball Ground, Satwari, here today.
Eight teams participated in the tournament consisting of Chartered Accountants and CA students. CA Sat Sharma (Ex MLA Jammu West) was the chief guest on the occasion.
During the first half, the team headed by CA Amit Gupta, team led by CA Akshay Jandyal, team headed by CA Jatin Wahi and team headed by CA Utsav Sharma advanced into semi-finals.
During the second half, the team headed by CA Jatin Wahi and team led by CA Amit Gupta advanced into the finals for the summit clash, wherein the team headed by CA Jatin Wahi lifted the trophy. Best batsman of the tournament was given to CA Shubham Gupta and best bowler to CA Ritesh Gupta. CA Sourav Mehta and CA Parveen Dogra acted as umpires during the matches.
Chairman of the branch CA Nakul Saraf thanked the members for their wonderful participation, while secretary CA Vineet Kohli conducted the proceedings of the prize distribution ceremony.
Vice-chairman, CA Vikas Purdhani along, CA Ayush Sawhney and CA Sourav Pargal distributed the medals to all the participants.
