JAMMU, Dec 5: In connection with the ongoing nationwide campaign for “Statue of Unity” statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Sardar Sarovar Dam, Gujarat, to make the people of the State aware about this great personality and his contribution IRON Collection Cooperative Committee (ICCC) J&K is organizing a “Run for Unity” Marathon on December 15.
This was disclosed by Dr Nirmal Singh, State coordinator, IRON Collection Cooperative Committee (ICCC) during a press conference here today.
He said that the Marathon will be organized at District Headquarters of the State including Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi and Samba.
“December 15 is the death anniversary of Sardar Patel, our first Home Minister and Iron Man of India”, he added.
Inderjeet Sambyal will be the State Coordinator for “Run for Unity”, he added.
