ICccR & HRM in JU holds consultative placement session

JAMMU, Aug 29: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, held a consultative placement session for the students of MBA (International Business) Programme.
The resource person for the session was Partha Pratim Dasgupta, Chief Mentor, Reliance Textile and Advisor HR and Corporate Affairs IIM (Ministry of HRD).
Partha Pratim Dasgupta, during his session, deliberated upon the essential preparatory aspects which the management professionals must keep in mind, while planning for their placements. He encouraged the students to indulge into self-improvement and train themselves to unlearn with a view to re-learn new things. He reflected upon the dynamism of the global business environment which seeks to acknowledge and accept diversity as the foremost aspect for successfully functioning in an international set-up.
Dasgupta said that the management professionals need to take a conscious call to enhance their canvas of opportunities and explore the gaps between their present state and the desired state. He motivated the students to invest in themselves in terms of time and reshaping their personalities that can well adapt to ever transformative business world. Honesty, transparency, positive attitude, sincerity and integrity of purpose were termed by Dasgupta, as few of the most significant elements that individuals must incorporate into their self to be successful in life.
Earlier, Professor Deepak Raj Gupta, Director, ICccR & HRM, highlighted the relevance of understanding the pre-requisites of placement preparation. He urged upon the students to indulge into intensive pre-placement training to embark upon the right places for themselves in the corporate and identify those domains that interest them.
This consultative placement session was highly interactive wherein the MBA (International Business) students posed numerous questions, perspectives and thoughts for initiating the placement preparation process.
Professor Dipanker Sengupta, Dean Student Placements, JU,   also interacted with the students and presented a picture of the present placement scenario.
The session was attended by the students of MBA (International Business) Programme and faculty at ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu.
