ICCR to start new series to promote young artists

JAMMU, May 27: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Jammu, is starting a new series to promote and showcase the exceptionally talented young artists. The first programme in the series is going to be ‘Swar Sudha’ and the artist being featured is Mukteshi Sharma- a versatile young singer who has excelled in wide range of singing.
Giving details, the Regional Director of ICCR Jammu, Balwant Thakur, informed here today that the programme ‘Swara Sudha’ featuring versatile Mukteshi Sharma is being organized by ICCR on May 30 at 6 pm at the auditorium of Government College for Women, Parade.
The programme is being organized in collaboration with GCW Parade and Mukteshi is the proud product of this college. The programme will have no entry fee.
Trained and groomed under her father, Ashutosh Mangotra, Mukteshi has the privilege for having learnt from India’s top classical vocalist Shobha Mugdal for a brief period.
