JAMMU, Feb 17: demanding enhancement in the honorarium, J&K ICDS Supervisors Union held a protest demonstration here today.
The ICDS supervisors and workers assembled outside Press Club here and raised slogans against the Government for not paying heed towards their long pending demands.
While speaking, Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State president, National Trade Union Front alleged that the Government is not serious towards the demands of the ICDS supervisors and helpers.
He condemned the delay delaying policies of the Government towards the workers and warned to come on road if their demands were not redressed at the earliest.
Dar appealed to all the ICDS supervisors and helpers to be united under the banner of the Union to get their demands redressed.
The protestors were demanding separate ICDS mission Directors, replacement of SRO 223 by fresh recruitment rules by making 50 per cent promotion quota from supervisor to CDPO, posts of ACDPO may be re-designated as senior supervisor, enhancement of the honorarium of workers upto Rs 9,000 per month, release of pending honorarium and salary without further delay, removal of pay anomalies of ICDS supervisors at par with other States of the country and finalization of the seniority list of ICDS supervisors.
Among others, who spoke were Ashok Dev Singh, general secretary, Syed Gulam Rasool Gilani, Rajinder Sharma, Zahoor Ali Khan and Angina Akhter.
