SRINAGAR, Aug 20: Defeating ICS Blues in a close contest by seven goals to five (7-5), ICS Reds won the title trophy of the Inter-Group Football Tournament at Islamia College, here today.
For ICS Reds, Mehdi and Shuja scored one goal in each half, while for ICS Blues, Burhan Farooq netted two goals in first and second half of the game.
In deciding tie-breaker, ICS Blues could score only three goals by Adnan, Nazim and Hussain, while as ICS Reds pelted five goals through Sariq, Danish, Arsalan, Uzair and Suja.
The Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) G M Tibet Bakal was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the end the chief guest gave away the trophies to the winners and the runners-up teams.
The Tournaments are being organized by the Physical Education Department of the College as part of its Sports Festival.
