JAMMU, Feb 8: A two day-long J&K-UT Referee workshop cum certification programme 2024 was conducted by Ju-Jitsu Association of J&K at International Daily Rising School, Jammu, here today.
The sole motive behind organizing workshop and certification programme was to raise awareness and provide advanced knowledge about new rules and new developments to the coaches, referees regarding Ju-Jitsu, so that UT based referees can hold championships at various District / UT level and also get a chance to officiate at national Championships.
The chief examiner of the workshop was Shikha Pathak -International Technical Official & Joint Secretary Ju-Jitsu Association of India accompanied by Danish Sharma-National-A Grade Referee as well as Technical Director Ju-Jitsu Association of J&K.
“It is a professional and elite course in which our aim is to aware and educate coaches and referees about the latest trends, techniques, rules, means and methods of the sport, Ju-Jitsu,” the jury said.
More than 50+ Coaches from different districts of J&K participated in the workshop. “The course is useful and will update our knowledge and skills that we can exhibit during officiating,” one of the participats said. “We can enhance our precision to make decisions besides we will be able to give fair decisions as per the rule book of the game,” they added.
The School Management, Staff, Supinder Kaur (Chairperson), Raghav Gupta (MD), Dr Atul Hans Director Academics cum Principal & vice Principal Ruchi Manhas were also present and appreciated the efforts of Ju – Jitsu team.
